The girl was perfect as AVA in my opinion and Domhnall as Caleb was credibly geeky and vulnerable. Performances were solid in this show for me! <br /><br />As for Garland being a one hit wonder as a director, I guess we'll have to wait and see. More than likely he'll keep writing, but if this film was successful in anyway as I suspect it was, he'll probably keep writing and directing, he's gotten a taste of the glory and he'll want more for sure. Let's see if he can keep it going in terms of excellence in storytelling.
